Ohhh man. What a game, what a game. No matter where you’re from, you’re probably aware by now how long it’s been since the Kansas City Royals have played any post season games…29 years. 1985 was the last time they made it into the playoffs! I grew up watching games with my dad on TV and at the stadium, and after I started dating Daniel, I watched more and went to more games and became a bigger fan. It’s been SO fun to see how good they’ve been this year. After winning the Wild Card game and advancing to the playoffs, this city went INSANE. A lot of us weren’t even alive the last time the Royals made it this far. Daniel spent a few hours online when the playoff tickets first went on sale, and ended up getting us tickets to the first home game of the ALDS(American League Division Series). They had won the two games before and just needed to win this game to advance to the ALCS(American League Championship Series). The stadium was sold out. The game was fantastic. We were in the lead from the bottom of the first inning to the end of the game. Everyone was on their feet most of the game and it was loud! I’m so glad I brought my camera!

This month’s 10 on 10 features some updates we’ve done to our house since we moved in a few months ago! Of course there is always more to do, and everyday I move something from one spot to another, add things, remove things, through things away, haha. We’re pretty happy with it so far though:)

Please follow the blog circle to see what the other photographer’s in this group have posted for their 10 on 10! Next up is Erin! Take a look here and leave her some love!

before and afters blog

So I know I kinda promised some before and afters of our new house for this month’s 10 on 10…but I’m not quite prepared yet! So I think I’ll hold off on those for next month! In June we shot a wedding in Grand Lake, Colorado and decided to leave a few days early so we could do a bit of exploring:)These are from our first hike. Daniel and I took quite a few film shots as well and I was hoping to upload those for this post, but my printer/scanner is being stubborn at the moment so you’ll have to wait on those too!

After you’ve taken a look, don’t forget to check out Jamie’s post to see what she’s been up to!

10 on 10 is a monthly portrait project that brings together a group of photographers to document 10 photos on the 10th of each month. This month has been insane! We bought our first house and moved in Memorial Day weekend. Went straight into painting and trying to unpack necessities while both working and shooting weddings on the weekends! It’s a crazy crazy time but it’s gonna be so great once we’ve got everything done. You can bet that next month’s 10 on 10 post will have a bunch of before-and-afters, but for this month I decided to take some photos of a few of my favorite things about this house. Our fenced in backyard for our fur-babies to wander around in, starting an herb garden (thanks Sara!), adding to my plant collection, hardwood floors and lots of windows.

Now head on over to blog to see her Kelley Fantasma’s 10-on-10 post! Be sure to leave her some love!
